Grief Support Group – 8-Week Commitment
The feelings you experience with every loss in life are a natural and normal reaction. Most people have never been taught the tools and resources to heal from grief. By joining this group, you will have the opportunity to share and connect with others in a safe environment who have also experienced a significant loss – without judgment, criticism, or analysis. You will also receive guidance to ensure that you learn new skills and tools to take action to ‘complete’ the pain associated with those feelings.
Prior to the first session date, you will need to pick up a copy of The Grief Recovery Handbook (GRH) to use as a resource for the action-based approach you will take as you work on your journey to recovery. Your group leader will guide and help you to heal from loss with emotional support. Your weekly participation and attendance in this 8-week closed-group format is vital to benefit in the healing and recovery process.
Upon telephone confirmation of your registration, you will be provided details for picking up your handbook at our main office.
Please note: Due to the nature of this group, attendance at all sessions is important. If you miss more than 2 sessions, your registration will be removed from the group.
Your Grief Support Group facilitators are Vanessa Iceton and Carly Martin, trained in the Grief Recovery Handbook.
